Houston to Bangkok

| October 1 through 3, 2006: Houston to Bangkok |

| I left Houston on October 1st, 2006 at around 10 pm with China Airlines. Stopover after 4 hours in Seattle and then a 13 hour flight from Seattle to Taipei. After arrival in Taipei, I had a layover of around 3 hours until I boarded my flight to Bangkok. | |||||||||||||||||

| Three hours later, I arrived at the brand new Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Luckily, all the kinks were worked out in the baggage system and I didn't have to wait for hours for my luggage, unlike travellers who arrived in Bangkok the week before when the airport just opened. I collected my bags and walked through the parking garage to the Novotel Airport Hotel, also brand new. Jetlag made me wake up around 1 am and it took me some time to fall asleep again. | |||||||||||||||||
